The Improv World is coming to VTS from October 14 – 20 when we will be playing host to the International TheatreSports Institute (iTi) Conference and Festival. The iTi is the largest improv network in the world. Every two years they convene a conference and improv festival that brings together improvisers from around the globe. The theme of this year’s festival is ImproV Ecology in recognition of how the improv art form has evolved around the world to reflect the influences it receives from different cultural terroirs. The Festival showcases improv formats created by iTi founder Keith Johnstone (e.g. Theatresports™, Gorilla Theatre™, Maestro Impro™ and The Life Game™), along with signature performances by some of the visiting international delegates and companies. All shows will take place on Granville Island. In addition to our own theatre, The Improv Centre, we will also be performing at the Waterfront Theatre and at the Nest Studio Theatre - all three venues are only a short walk apart from each other.

Vancouver BC V6H 3R8
Directed by Dan O’Connor, featuring an international ensemble
This fully improvised contemporary play deals with relationships, modern living and the change that happens when we commit to what we want. Who do we meet, when we walk into the unknown and discover new ways of thinking? What consequences will these new relationships bring? Le Roundabout sheds light onto these questions with one single narrative, performed by an international ensemble.
NOTE: This show is suitable for children aged 8 and over. We cannot accommodate younger children, toddlers or infants. Any show may contain mature content and language, parental discretion is advised.
This is a festival seating performance - the seats are on a first come, first serve basis when you arrive at the theatre.
For The Late Show performances, doors open 5-10 minutes prior to the performance.
